Helen from REMAKEBOLAGETS main occupation is to work with so-called “social art” and/or “folk art” in the field of mosaic art. She is a self-taught art practitioner who has worked with various forms of creative expression including textiles, sculpture, ceramics, scenography and porcelain. She currently specializes in recyclable mosaic art that gives new artistic life to already used objects. With her vast knowledge of the materials she uses and how the environment affects each material, she ensures that her artwork is durable and installed in ways that allow the artwork to retain its integrity regardless of the season or location. Grounded in social culture and the educational sector, her art can be seen to emphasise a sense of community and social interaction in public spaces.
