About TAQUEN
From Coruña, Spain and based in Madrid, TAQUEN is interested in movement, change and the relationship between man and his environment his artistic processes.
His work is based on his own experience within the natural environment, where he spends most of his time. His passion for the mountains and nature means that he does not understand a society far from it.
In his figurative and minimalist art expression, he mixes natural and human elements to speak metaphorically about our relationships, our emotions and our instincts.
He sees urban art as a tool for positive change and social cohesion. As an artist, he feels totally responsible for his work, both for the space in which he works, for the people who live in it and for the environment that surrounds it.
TAQUEN is always looking for a creative process to involve both the community and the viewer. He has participated in urban art festivals, exhibitions and projects at national and international level such as MIAU Fanzara in Castellón, Paredes Fest in Oviedo, Vertical District in Valladolid, Straat Museum in Holland, Label Vallete Festival in France, Waterford Walls in Ireland, Italy, Greece, Nepal, Germany and many more.
